Xdot's Bulletin of Chronic Self-Indulgence
Updated: 01-16-03
Welcome to Xdot's Bulletin of Chronic Self-Indulgence!
Now updated for most likely the last time...
Webster (the dictionary, not the little guy on TV) defines bulletin
as: a brief public notice, issuing usually from an informative source.
Well... Brief? Could be...(but then again it wouldn't be
very indulgent, wee!) Public? There is no question about
that; Anyone can come here... Informative? Err...you be the judge...
This page is pretty much finished heh, but the groovy stuff will remain for
the time being. As such this page will remain a glowing testament to the
Undernet Poker career of Xdot!
Ahem, now then, this page is undermined by the (former) IRC Poker mo known
as Xdot. As some who visit here may know, Xdot was
one of the more colorful characters to inhabit the IRC. His exploits are
legendary (at least in his own mind) and his deeds are truly worthy of a
footnote (see Old News below).
The preferred habitat of this entity was the IRC Poker Channels.
For the best information about IRC Poker try...
Jupiter's Poker Page:
The Realm of Undernet Poker. As
of this update it is still in existence.
Sadly, MOPOKER IS NO MORE! It has thrown in the towel. It is pushing up
daisies. It has kicked the bucket, cashed in its chips and bought the farm.
It is an EX-poker-channel! Mopoker players used to be able to enjoy the
mo-spectacular poker page of Volfsmaid, but it is no longer to be found.
Most (non-IRC Poker) people might wish to refer to the
Official Undernet Poker Channel Glossary for
some of the more arcane references, jargon and acronyms contained in this
self-indulgent treatise.
Old NEWS:
Xdot HAS RETIRED!
The Bulletin will go on, but Xdot, has decided to cash in his free
credits for the last time. Xdot's last game was in the Winners' Super
Tournament on November 2, 2001. In a well fought battle Xdot finished
2nd to |8|-Ball who had established (for all practical purposes) an
insurmountable lead. Now Xdot has retired to spend more time with
tangible entities and less time in cyberspace.
The Hall of Fame and Hall of Winners are set in stone for perpetuity (heh like that?).
Some of
Xdot's career hightlights are listed in the
IRC Poker Hall of Fame. Here is a more complete list:
- First started playing IRC Poker on EFNET in 1994
- Member of the Original Undernet Poker Players
- Most wins in the original undernet 100K tourney (4)

The Origin of Xdot
For those curious mo's, here is the origin of the nick Xdot:
It is mathematical notation for the derivative of a vector,
consisting of a bold-face X with a dot above it. In layman's
terms it is a mathematical symbol. Now it is well known that
Xdot had this idea long before the artist formerly known as
'Prince' did. In any event, this notation is easier to pronounce and much
less pretentious. (Oh how I hate pretentious snobs...by the way, Babs and I are taking the Beemer out for some làtte, care to come with?...)
Some of Xdot's favorite psuedo-nicks
Some of Xdot's favorite sayings:
(All are (c) Xdot 1995, 1996, 1997)
- wuss! (woos, wooses, patwoos etc.)
- u must die now (ymdn)
- noft (nofd, etc see glossary)
- N a wuss
- brave bet mo (when some mo who discards more than one card, raises
a mo who just discarded one card)
- u realize i must bank u now...
- you shall be pitied and left in confusion...
Some of Xdot's favorite (stolen) borrowed sayings:
- wee!
- N
- ack!, geg! and/or gack!
- norkboy, norklet, norkling or derivatives thereof
- dillpup, dillpuppy or derivatives etc.
- how rude (c) 1996 KKat
- ridicule rules sometimes--Phod (no copyright at this time)
- I must leave now, I have no monies (c) 1996 Gatorboy

CRAPFEST stands for: 'Can Reasonably Assume Pbot Filled Every Stinking
Turd-hand' and is awarded to the mo who loses a hand where Pbot manages
to fill everyone's (3 or more players, heh) draw. Usually this player
is the one with the best hand before discard and merely calls the bet
in the end (can you say 'norked'?) seeming to know their fate.
Xdot's Monster Hands
Here's where Xdot gets some good cards from Pbot. It doesn't happen
often enough (to suit Xdot), but sometimes... (At this point Xdot
would like to add that most of these hands are NOT included in the HOM page,
since Poker-Page readers would soon tire of "Xdot gets another quad
hand!" etc.)
* indicates straight flush hands
Xdot's Tourney Wins
(Formerly Xdot's REALLY Self-Indulgent Section)
You can now view Xdot's name in the illustrious
IRC Poker H*O*W. (Updated No More!)
(The old HOF is now called Hall of Winners)
And now *trumpet fanfare* the
IRC Poker HOF.
Entry to HOF is most enviable and tightly controlled, so no moa try subversive methods to gain membership.
(Point is now moot...)
Congratulations! You are a kewlie mo for loading up this page! I quit counting actual visitors a while ago. Thanks and enjoy!
