Unit Lesson Plans

Include the plans and other related materials you used to develop your teaching. Unit plans are required, daily lesson plans are often useful, and schedules or other materials may be included.

General information about exhibits
The exhibits have three main sections, with materials required for each of these. A fourth section is available for materials that may not fit in the specified categories but are relevant to demonstrating your abilities. Each of the categories is placed on its own web page.

You may need to add pages within a category if the exhibits are too long. Be sure to keep the navigation clear so the parts of the exhibits pages link together.

Organize your exhibits and provide a list of all the examples you have included at the top of each page. You may put multiple exhibits on a single web page, but in most cases you may want to have several pages so none are too long.

Every exhibit must be linked to some part of your standards narrative. Some exhibits may serve more than one standard.

Be sure to include a short written description of each exhibit in your portfolio rather than just a file or image. If you use material from other sources, be sure to acknowledge where the material came from.

Read the section on exhibits in the Portfolio Manual carefully to see what should be included. You need enough to make your case but not so much that a judge cannot review the material in about 30 minutes. Select your evidence carefully – you don't need an example from every student in your class!
