Scalamander wrote:The Guardian looks awesome Kain. I always had an idea for an encounter involving the PC's plummeting down the Grand Abyss dodging bridges and assorted demons while being pursued by the Guardian. The idea was to retrieve a golden spelljammer from the chaos-magma pool it rested in and pilot it back to the surface without getting eaten by the impossibly ancient dragon that slept in the fire pit. Now I can put that vision in to action.

Glad to be of service, Scal. Let me know if it comes to actual stats, how it works out for you and your game.

I seem to remember that you did some stats for Center of All on the Black Ops boards. So did you just forget to repost him, or is there actually an intention behind it for him not appearing here yet?

Never had him saved in my WP doc. Thanks for pointing it out. Had to go back to the old site and get him.

I know you may be too busy to include fluff with the entires. Would it be possible going forward to include an entry to what publications and pages they appeared in or that you drew some information from?

Probably more trouble than its worth for me (and I think we've probably seen more of the ones that will appear than we haven't, if you catch my drift), although if anyone ever had a specific question regarding an entity, I don't think I've ever failed to respond on this thread yet.

Edit: However, it sounds like a fantastic project for someone to do in this forum, finding all of the resources that are online/in print regarding characters.

It would be a terrific project. Is there a list anywhere of all the D&D products published with each edition?

You could start with wizards.com for 4e and 3e. I'm unaware of any listings of 1e or 2e.

So Ashardalon...a half-fiend great red wyrm with a smite power that works more like a class feature...is that really all he is?

Was his heart already statted previously?

Tharzidun...wow. And you managed it without any spell-like abilities! So, what would his big giant whatchamacallit form be like? Size bonuses and some natural weapons?

I didn't deviate drastically from the established material. Ashardalon was more impressive because of what he did, rather than what he was.

Was his heart already statted previously?

In the index under "Demon, Ammet"

Heh. Actually his big form would probably be a result of his Alter Reality power, and have dropped his AC down low enough for the gods to finally hit him.

That is easily the sexiest pit fiend to ever grace the Dark Ministry. She must get fashion tips from Glasya.

Who are Kanos of Dark Heart? And the Eldest Spawn? And the Sleepless? What about Galizsheth (the marilith of the cover of the FC1)?

Sorry about so many questions at the same time :)

A vampire minotaur, a Spawn of Juiblex, a 'molydeus' who patrols Orcus' layer of Thanatos and Galizsheth is a marilith who runs a mining operation on the first layer of The Abyss.

Want more? Flavor costs now, buddy. :)

C'mon, I can tell it is a vampire minotaur. But where did it came from?

He was mentioned in passing in the MotP. They mentioned that he was a vampire and a minotaur. That's it. They didn't even give him a name, that was me.

For Bjornganal's power attack, why not just say he gets 3 for 1? Can he not use any increment other than 32?

Pearls of power don't work for spontaneous casters. Change Maretta's to momento magica.

Homey don't play that. Consider Pearls of Power to work for all spellcasters.

A marilith sorcerer huh? Yawn.

How about something actually interesting, like a nalfeshnee cleric of Pelor?

Sorry you don't like, but I'm not making things up at the moment, just taking them from canon.

Named Demon List (marilith)

In that case, I'd like to see Marilith. And Balor. And any other demons who ended up having the race named after them.
