Ummm, Kain? I'm pretty sure Serge didn't do that Asmodeus pic.

That's because he's so modest about his work.

You can post them on this board. My thread is locked for the moment until I can repost everything. At least...I think my thread is locked.

Should we create threads for ourselves specifically (KCG's Alternate Cosmics, Aluroon's Alternate Cosmics) and such? I don't think I'll have that many to post.

If or when I post/repost Alternate World beings of my own creation, I will be making my own thread for it, and I would expect everyone else to do the same.

Start with split threads. If I don't like how that looks, I'll merge them into one.

Your missing a line at the end after Gargauth's regeneration.

Merorem's reality revision SLA should have a DC of 41.

Fixed, danke.

Merorem's reality revision SLA should have a DC of 41.

On what grounds? Have I missed applying a +9 bonus somewhere? 10 + 9 (power level) + 13 (cha mod) = 32.

I'm sorry, let me rephrase, most of the powers duplicated by his reality revision will end up at DC 41. 10 + 9 + 13 = 32 + 9 (PLA's are augmented to the maximum possible at their ML, 36 in Merorem's case. Assume the base 17 power points for reality revision becomes the standard + 19/2)

Not all powers are capable of being augmented, and not all that are capable have a DC increase in that augmentation. Some have different augmentations possible, which would mean he would have to decide whether to boost the DC or some other factor available.

In any case, it is certain that there are too many possibilities to fully account for every one. The base DC suffices, if a DM using him in combat wants to get tricky, he is more than welcome to decide where and how Merorem augments his powers.

Does this apply to all "alternate world" builds, or only ones that fit in Kain's AW? I ask mainly for my alternate world thread, which isn't really designed to play nicely with others (being based on a slightly different ruleset). I'm happy to post it in 3e material, if that's where it belongs. I'm just trying to figure out where it should be.

I think AW builds that don't fit in with my AW should be in 3e material. Once I get the threads reposted, I'll be looking extensively over other people's AW work to ensure that it gels with my vision. That would be significantly harder if I wasn't sure who was playing with my rules and who wasn't.

I move that you can't call it Alternate World unless it is actually based Kain's Alternate World. Other rule sets need other names.

I'm not into overuse of copyright, so I'd disagree. Especially on such an uninspired name. Other folks' AW are more than welcome to call it such.

But it requires more mental effort on my part!

Anywho, Leviathan as a baatorian was a good call; one I actually made a long while back, not that he wasn't the only Lord who could really have been one flavor-wise.

But already rejected by the creator of the term.

It may just be my imagination but did Anamolous lose some abilities? I seem to recall him having a couple other/different powers last time you posted him.

To that end, you might want to repost the AW house rules soon, so those people know what rules to use. :P

Where's the Baroness from?

Also extra points for the Luis Royo art.

Cania. Mephistopheles and a fey queen. Book of Vile Darkness. Depending on what you were asking there.

I'm going to make the monumental attempt to get all of the finished stuff revised up to date and reposted. Along with some of the 'almost dones'. I wish that I would have taken the time to do Spell-like ability DCs rather than the x + spell level cop-out earlier. As it stands there are hundreds of entities without them worked in.

Given the point that I'm at now, I'll probably start up the non-unique entity thread soon. With the reposting I'm grouping similar entities together, for instance all of the diabolical entities that I've done are currently posted. When I do demons, I will post all of the demonic entities before moving on to another group. For the demons, the order will probably be Demon Prince > Related stuff to demon prince > next demon prince, etc until I'm done with demon princes or entities related to that demon prince. Then I'll just go by layer.
