Ms. Mc Theme Song
(1.9MB) Check out my super cool theme song!

This is my fifth year teaching at Saline Middle School and I cannot think of a better place to teach! It is a joy working with the students here in Saline. I have also had the pleasure of coaching the Science Olympiad team for the past four years. Last year we came in third at the Regional competition- a very proud moment for the team after a year of hard work.

When I was younger, I had the opportunity to travel a lot because my father was in the Air Force. Texas, Conneticut, and Michigan are just some of the places I have lived. The traveling spirit is a part of me and I have made it a goal to see as much of this world as I possibly can. Two places that are next on my list to visit are Alaska and New Zealand. I have been living in the Ann Arbor area ever since I moved here to go to college and I finally feel like this is home. In middle school and high school, I was extremely involved in athletics and outdoor sports. In high school, I played volleyball, basketball, soccer, track, and crew. I am also an avid skier- both downhill and cross country. I went to the University of Michigan (GoBlue!) where I studied Biology and Scientific and Medical Illustration. I then went back to school when I realized that teaching was what I really wanted to do. I received my Masters in Education with a concentration in Biology and General Science (with a focus on Chemistry and Earth Science) from UofM. When I am not teaching, I really enjoy music, staying active by playing Ultimate Frisbee on a club team, traveling and spending time with friends and family. One of my personal goals is to visit every National Park in the U.S. I have been to 13 and my favorite so far has been Bryce Canyon National Park. If you have any recommendations, I would love to hear them!
