EVAN ARTHUR | DATA SCIENTIST | |
Effective simulations can both reduce costs and predict future
avenues of research and production. I am an applied computer
programmer who creates and tests novel mathematical approaches
that extract meaning from complex data sets, and make current
simulation models far more efficient.
I am currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Michigan in physical chemistry. My expected graduation date is the summer of 2015. My area of research is using computers to model, simulate, and analyze angstrom-scale solvent interacting with proteins and other biomolecules. I am coadvised by two amazing bosses: Charlie Brooks and Kevin Kubarych . When I am not researching science I practice Chinese and ballroom dancing. Programming Languages: CUDA, OpenCL, C, C++, Matlab, Fortran, Python, Perl, shell scripting (BASH, CSH, etc.), OpenACC, HTML, R, Force.com, Java Spoken Languages: English, Spanish, Chinese |
