my front door (the one that says E, not the one that says R. all the apts on the lower level spell out the word BINDERY, as they are all below the grimm book bindery):

the inside of my apt (from the view of my fully reclined murphy bed. and no, the wall isnt inverting in a temporal vortex, the tiles just reflect light wierdly).

this place looks beautiful. don't feel bad about sticking out in a place. I personally don't think I will ever find a one and true home. I just think that doesn't exist. your kitchen tiles are insane.

can you say murphy bed in indonesian yet?

actually what i like most of all about your blog...well second to the great timing of the movement between text and pic... but that you do bother to notice the everyday of a place...like the entries about cookouts...and michigan skies...and greenbeans...i had to go to germany and back before i reclaimed that ability to 'see'...and i hope i don't lose it once the school year starts back up again...wherein the time to see is severely cut short...

anyway...i have now moved into your old room..its just me and chris now...

Talk about coincidences and small worlds. I was referred to your blog by Tali, who thought I might find it interesting because I grew up and went to undergrad in Madison. Your images are lovely - there's lots about Madison that I was glad to leave behind, but the lakes and the Farmer's market ... well, Ann Arbor just can't compete. Anyway, I had to laugh out loud when I saw where you are living - I lived at the Bindery myself! I don't remember the exact letter, but it was the second from the left (facing the apartments with Gilman St. on your left), upper level. Wow... that was well over 10 years ago! Hope you have a great time in Madison. Make sure you try out Vientiane Palace on Gorham. Again, if you like Lao-Thai food, nothing in AA (or anywhere else I've been, for that matter) compares.
