A few miles outside of Page, Arizona, the Colorado River takes a sharp turn, almost making a full circle. This spot has come to be known as Horseshoe Bend and is one of the more impressive views I have seen. It can be reached by a short 3/4 mile hike on a wide flat trail. See below for a map.

Views from the road as we drove from Zion to Page via highway 89 which passes through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. There were varying canyons the entire way and a few spots that had some nice fall color.
