We completed our first project “Door Messaging System” under Prof. Anshul Kumar, at the Digital Hardware Design lab of IIT, Delhi. We started working under him with almost no knowledge of microcontrollers, but by the end of our training we had interfaced almost all devices that we could find in the DHD lab with the ATMega8 microcontroller, ranging from LCD display, Stepper motor, keypad and non-volatile memory.
