Growing
up I realized I had a talent for causing pain and suffering, and with
my looks you don’t get to be a Dentist. So I did the next best thing I
hurt people and demons for money. People were always afraid of me, so I
grew up in the sewers hiding out in the underground, eventually my
talents for mayhem got noticed by some of the local heavy hitters and
they offered me ticket out of the gutter. After a few years of muscle
work I ended up in collections working for a Vegas Shylock.
Vegas
draws losers like moths to a flame, sooner or later they end up owing
more then they can pay and that’s where my employers stepped in. Ever
say “I’d sell my soul for …”. Well lots of people do and that’s were my
employers make their offer; money, fame, power, love whatever they’d
wished for. The same old tune over and over again, they wouldn’t want
to pay and would try to welsh on the deal, then I’d find them and
“encourage” them to make good. I didn’t feel bad about them no one made
them make the deal and they were just losers anyway.
Turns
out my employers were a lot worse then I thought. They weren’t just
taking the loser’s souls as markers, but the souls of these loser’s
first born as well. Turns out I had a line I wouldn’t cross, and
killing innocent kids was it. I was thinking of trying to run just like
all those sad losers I used to track down. Then this cute little broad
comes out of nowhere and starts wailing on my boss. Well as I said I’d
had enough and decided to give a little back, and threw in with this
Slayer dame. We whipped them silly and after it was over, I felt good
for the first time. So now I’m busting heads for the Slayer and though
the money isn’t as good, I feel righteous for the first time in my life.
Quote: “Look we don’t have to do
this the hard way, but that’s definitely my choice.”
Roleplaying the Demonic Legbreaker:
You’re basically a thug who really likes to hurt people, but you’ve been given a second chance and you’re trying hard to do the right thing. Redemption isn’t an easy road and helping people instead of hurting them doesn’t come easily to you. You try to be a good guy, and a hero, to protect the weak and the innocent but you’re a Demon so it often goes against your nature. |
