This list just covers demon princes, not demon lords (which is another list altogether).

About how many Demon Lords will you cover and which ones? Because, there are millions of them after all.

That's probably how many we'll cover then.

About 16 demon lords, actually. Which ones...is a treat that you'll see a bit later.

Okay, thanks. I assume you'll be mostly covering the major Demon Lords instead of some of the thousands of insignifigent upstart ones.

I'm going to be very dissapointed. if there aren't at least a few insignificant upstart lords showcased in the end product.

This is why Horrors is taking so long.
There is no emotion, there is peace
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge
There is no passion, there is serenity
There is no chaos, there is harmony
There is no death, there is the Force

Balam as the prince of carnage seems an odd choice, traditionally he's charged with given answers to long forgotten enigmas.

will Abraxas be considered, maybe as a demon lord?

I don't know about other sources, but quite a lot of demons do that in the Lesser Key of Solomon. Balam was an archdevil of bloodshed in past D20 products, if I recall correctly.

Deja vu...

To answer the question (again, since the first response got swallowed by The Void): yes, Abraxas is definitely included.

To expand a bit on what Palindrome said, he's being featured as the Demon Lord of Mysteries. He was one of the first mazza'im to rise to power after the War of Law and Chaos, and was a pretty powerful demon prince for a while. He's since declined in stature, though he's trying to make a comeback. The Horrors team has had some interesting ideas for how he is... as his title implies, they're pretty esoteric in nature. That part of his character hasn't been finalized yet, though.

can we get any information on the expected timelines vis-a-vis the horrors? Any idea when the next chapter will be released? Chapter 1 was great; can't wait for more...

We're trying to get the next chapter released hopefully within a few more months. The way things are developing, I suspect that we'll have another chapter after that one ready fairly soon.

The last time on was on this site was awhile ago. I can see why this stuff takes so long though, the fluff is excellent and creating the stats of creatures this powerful must be ridiculous. In anycase, do you know when Horrors will be resumed?

No.

Currently, the creative powers that be (me among them) are considering focusing more on actual campaign building, while the more mechanically driven folks (like Kain... although he's also very creative) are looking closely at epic mechanics. Those epic mechanics are essential in any Power build, and trying to use what we all acknlowledge to be clumsy, all but broken 3ed epic rules doesn't make much sense. Of course, I'm curious to see what PF comes up with.

RE: Pathfinder, there is a bit of a preview of sorts found in Lords of Chaos, the Book of the Damned detailing Demons. In it, there is a chart listing the general numbers used for Nascent Demon Lords, those Demons who are on the verge of possibly becoming Demon Lords.

Those numbers reflect CR 21-25, which already exist in PF core, yes? That is the range at which their nascent demon lords (Horrors would likely refer to them as atrocities) begin. The Bestiary 2 already covers up to CR 25, without using epic material.
