Dicefreaks d20 Community

Set needs 3 6th level spells, 1 5th level spell and 1 1st level spell. Suggestions (or spell swaps for existing choices) are welcome. Sources are SRD, Spell Compendium and Sandstorm if those spells aren't in the Spell Compendium. Theme first, power second.

Some possible choices.

1st: cheat, fist of stone, hail of stone, nightshield, parching touch, sunstroke, wall of smoke
5th: choking sands, cyclonic blast, dispel water, flaywind burst, flesh to salt, graymantle, miasma of entropy, night's caress, shadow form, shadow hand, spiritwall, unearthly heat, wrack
6th: ashen union, aura of terror, control water, flesh to stone, geas/quest, mass contagion, mislead, mass dessicate, revive undead, shadowy grappler, spectral touch, symbol of persuasion, symbol of thirst

Yes. The feat is functionally identical. However, Holy Tongue conveys the ideas of goodness, while Words of Creation are more evocative of an omnipotent Creator, truespeech, Aleph, or the lost tongue of Babel. Thus I changed the name.

The biker angels need some kind of mount. Either they just come with one in every fight, or the ability to summon one. It can either be a living thing, a contruct, or a true vehicle.

No. But I did him late at night and hurried. Clearly I missed a few things.

It seems your Zeus doesn't have class levels at all. Just outsider hit dice but with a d12. He also lacks the Chaos domain.

I approve whole-heartily. Do you have similar plans for his siblings?

Ares is a murderous coward and is pretty much hated by everyone in Olympus, reflecting most Greek's general disdain for warfare. Mars, on the other hand, is an invincible champion and an honored son of Jupiter, reflecting the Roman's far more positive outlook on the glory of battle and conquest.

Zeus began stat-life as a gestalt barbarian/warlock. I was going to modify the invocations and eldritch blast to better show his divine power and lightning bolts.

However, through the statting process, I realized he really didn't need rage, his invocations were utterly superseded by Alter Reality and no class's abilities suit him entirely. Warlock, for instance, has a lot that is needed to be a balanced PC class, but that is completely pimped by his divine powers. So I kept the d12, 4 skill points and gave him all good saves and divine grace.

Poseidon is currently drafted as a barbarian/druid atm, and Hades as a duskblade/hexblade. Not sure if I'll keep that or not.

Even stripped of his class levels, Zeus is insanely powerful. He compares closer to the Lady of Pain than to Asmodeus. Not sure at the moment if I need to change that or not. Even Ares and Mars seem to have sickeningly high attack and AC.

What KCG said, for starters. Once I began the research on Mars compared to Ares, I almost wondered if I hadn't messed up by making Mars intermediate. He was second only to Jove/Jupiter in Roman worship.

Ares was the god of battle (bloodlust and slaughter), where as Pallas Athena was the goddess of war (strategy and tactics). He was never as cool to the Greeks as he was to the DCU or Xena series.

I find Odin to be appropriately badass. Did you use another class to get him his d10?

Fighter/wizard. Also where all his extra feats come from and his +12 atk/dmg with Gungnir.

He's not Brother Justice of Demonwars, Brother Justice existed long before I read that novel.

And no, the Dark Knight and Hunter of the Night are not out of Adventure Quest. Originals, although obviously the concepts are hardly original.

He has some, but I think they are all in the Warcraft d20 thread.

Sorry if i'm interupting anything, and falling out of the sky, but who is Baron Anomoulus? I've been a lurker, even on the old website but didn't find anything about him. One of Merorem's servants? And (because of my special materials fetish) what are properties of quicksilver(his weapon and armor are made of it)? I've found true quicksilver here, but that's not it.

Yes, he was once a paladin-type (CG) who sold his soul to Merorem in order to save his sister from a demon lord. Merorem went back to his sister's birth and stole her soul, preventing the demon lord from ever even knowing about her. The change removed most of the emotions and empathy that had made him good to begin with, and he began his service in Merorem's employ. He's served by Magus William, who was another foolish mortal who thought to bring honor upon his head, but only gained servitude to Merorem. The magus is currently in the form of a lemure these days, I believe.

It most likely is true quicksilver. Just because I don't write it all out doesn't mean it isn't the case.
