Identity (the strange case of Roger Brown)
I was told to check out the art of Roger Brown. I did so today, and the first "Roger Brown" listing on the search engine (yes, Google) is represented by the painting on the left - "Piano Player" 24x18. He does picturesque landscapes as well. And I thought, "oh, yes, I guess I could get something from this artist; he, uh, shows proficiency in using oils...um, maybe I should keep looking." I then found another Roger Brown, who did the other piece, called "Safariland" also an oil painting, 40x48 (1989). Okay, now we're talkin'. But how do I know which one I am supposed to like? Somehow I just know.
