Videos of the talks are available here.

Maryam Mirzakhani made dramatic advances in our understanding of the geometry and dynamics of Riemann surfaces and their moduli spaces. After receiving her PhD from Harvard in 2004, under the guidance of Curtis McMullen, she was a Clay fellow and professor at Princeton University before coming to Stanford University for the remainder of her career. Stanford will host a conference during May 18-20, 2018 to honor the remarkable contributions that Maryam made to mathematics and to the mathematical community. The speakers will consist of people who were close to her mathematically and personally. We hope the conference will provide both a reminder of the work that she left us and a glimpse of where it might lead in the future.

Registration and Funding

Some funding is available to participate in this conference, primarily for graduate students and postdocs. If you are planning to attend, we ask that you register here, regardless of whether or not you are requesting funding. This will greatly aid our planning. Funding requests can be made as part of the registration process. Decisions concerning funding will be made by April 1st.
