Lodging

Hotels near the Stanford campus tend to be quite expensive. Participants are encouraged to consult Airbnb or a similar site for more inexpensive choices.

The most convenient and frequently used hotel is the Cardinal Hotel. Unfortunately, it is heavily booked that weekend for another event. They have reserved a small block of rooms for the conference that can be accessed here. The rooms will be released on April 17th. Note that there are a few inexpensive rooms available for which the bathroom is on the hallway. The prices of all the rooms vary by the day of the week, with Friday and Saturday being most inexpensive.

The Sheraton Hotel and the Stanford Terrace Inn are also convenient but are particularly expensive. However, participants may find that the rooms with two beds are affordable if they are willing to share.

Another option to consider is the Creekside Inn, where we have reserved a small block of rooms. Participants interested in staying there can make reservations here. The rooms will be released on April 19th. This hotel is to the south of campus along El Camino Real. It is a longish walk from campus. There are also regular public buses (Line 22) that run along El Camino to the Palo Alto transit center which is a 15 minute walk from the Math Department. Also along this route are several basic hotels (Comfort Inn, Travelodge, Stanford Motor Inn, etc).

Directions to the Conference Site

Registration for the conference and all the talks will take place in Math building located at 450 Serra Mall (Sloan Hall Bldg 380, map).
