Welcome to Yuri's home page!

I earned my doctoral degree (Ph.D. in Physics) from the University of Chicago in 2003.  Then I worked at three different post-doctoral research positions in three different universities:  at the Department of Physics of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (2003-2005), at the Materials Research Laboratory of the University of California in Santa Barbara (2005-2007), and at the Department of Physics of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland (2007-2008).  Since 2008, I have been teaching Physics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, for more than a decade.  I enjoy teaching, and I am passionate about it.  This seems to be unambiguously reflected in student evaluations of the courses I teach.  If you are interested in learning more about me, please feel free to check out my CV or contact me.  Now, a list of links to some of my webpages follows, and, frankly, this is the purpose of this page.
