ESGR
Soils
Veatch classified soil types according to his unique
types.
Another soil scientist, Stephen Shetron, classified the ESGR in 1963
according
to national soil types. Shetron's work became part of the Livingston
County
Soil Survey. The next step for this project will be to reconcile these
two soil classifications. Veatch's classification is more detailed, but
Shetron's will compare with other sites. Having both types of
information
available will provide both generality and site-specific information.
