Ronald Berry, son of George and Alberta Keaton Haamid and grandson of George E. and Mattie Calhoun Berry made a trip to the motherland with stops in Cape Town, Hoedspruit and Johannesburg, South Africa and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Lloyd Scott, son of James and Annie Will Calhoun Scott, is the oldest living male descendant of Matt and Mollie Scott Calhoun. Upon is retirement from Federal Government service he was cited in the 1987 United States Congressional Record for his 'outstanding contributions' during his career. Sports Hall of Fame Inductee



Deborah Pearson Jackson, daughter of William Pearson and Beverly Scott Campbell, granddaughter of James Scott and Genevieve Brown, and great granddaughter of James and Annie Will Calhoun Scott, has been elected to the 2019 Yellow Springs Athletic Hall of Fame. A 1978 graduate of Yellow Springs High School (Yellow Springs, Ohio) Deborah excelled in volleyball, basketball and high jumping. Click here for her Bio.

Arthur and Annie L. Bailey Williams, daughter of William and Essalene Scott Bailey, granddaugther of James and Annie Will Calhoun Scott, celebrated 20 years of marriage by renewing their wedding vows on April 21, 2018.

Jeri D. Dokes, daughter of Roosevelt and Doris Jean Calhoun Jackson, granddaugther of John Wesley and Maggie Bell Harington Calhoun conducted a book signing for her first children's book, 'Dear Aunt Daisy "I'm Tellin You The Truth"'. Please note dues are $24/year. Besides funding the educational fund they establish good standing for Calhoun Family members. Only those in good standing can hold office or vote on family matters. Dues can be submitted to your respective state chapter. Those members who do not belong to a chapter should submit their dues to the National Treasurer,

Calhoun Family First Pitch

Nathaniel L. Scott, son of James and Annie Will Calhoun Scott, was recently feartured in a Dayton Daily News article recognizing his 100th birthday and throwing out the First Pitch at Dayton Dragons game.

Ohio Woman of Color Hall of Fame



Sheila Scott Mixon, daughther of Albert and Zella Scott and granddaughter of James and Annie Will Calhoun Scott was one of seven women from the State of Ohio inducted into the Women of Color Foundation 2017 Hall of Fame. Formerly the Calhoun Family President, Sheila is the current Calhoun Family National Treasurer. The induction ceremony held in Cleveland was attended by Cleveland chapter family members, Jerlisa Calhoun, National President, Derrick Tripp, National 2nd VicePresident, and Rebecca Calhoun, Cleveland chapter President.
