The Evil Eyes:
The Ovu Mobani are a breed of powerful Necromantic Demons, which is a fancy way of saying they raise the dead. (Not that they romance dead things, that's gross). The translation of Ovu Mobani is the Evil Eye, which makes sense given their glowing eyes and evil Zombie raising proclivities.
Wearing the Demon Masks:
An unwarded Ovu Mobani mask can raise the dead and calls the Zombies to put the mask on. These Ovu Mobani zombies and incarnate Ovu Mobani are exactly like those in the Monster Smackdown on page 120.
When a living human puts on one of the Demon Masks they absorb the Demon’s powers and the mask into their body, and they become evil. The possessed can appear normal save for their eyes, which glow red when angry or when they use their powers. When really using their powers the demonic visage of the mask bursts through their skin revealing their true nature, very similar to a Vamp’s game face, it makes them pretty homely (–5 Attractiveness).
Demon Mask Powers:
A living human under the influence of an Ovu Mobani possession has the following characteristics:
Attribute Bonuses: +3 to Strength, +1 to Dexterity, +2 to Constitution, +1 to Intelligence, +2 to Willpower.
Bite: When the mask-face is revealed Ovu Mobani have some pretty sharp and nasty teeth that do 2 x Strength Slash/ Stab Damage, but they must Grapple first.
Paralyzing Gaze: The Ovu Mobani can flash their eyes and freeze their target so they are unable to move for a full turn. This is an attack using their Brains Score to hit.
Damage Resistant: Those possessed by an Ovu Mobani, though they are not actually dead take damage as if they had the Zombie Quality, with a few exceptions. First if they are hacked to pieces, the pieces squirm around on their own and pull themselves together till they are whole or until they are reattach to the body. Secondly they do not have to make a Survival Test if they are decapitated, their bodies continue to move around until they find the head and they stick it back on their necks. Basically as long as the eyes remain intact the possessed body will always pull itself together. Fire will work like on a normal Zombie as it destroys the eyes. The eyes are the weak point of those possessed by an Ovu Mobani. If they take more than ten points of damage to their eyes the Ovu Mobani and the host are vanquished and dissolve into puddles of goo. It is a difficult shot to hit the eyes it is a Dexterity + Kung Fu or Getting Medieval –6 or Combat –6 Maneuver.
Healing: Ovu Mobani may take damage like Zombie but they also heal at the same rate as stated on Monster Smackdown errata. Though this doesn’t impair them, they can look pretty grotty until they heal up.
Raising the Dead: An Ovu Mobani can raise all the dead in a 1 mile radius as standard Ovu Mobani Zombies (Monster Smackdown p.121) and can verbally command them. Or the Ovu Mobani can go for quality rather then quantity and raise more powerful Zombies. Use the standard Ovu Mobani Zombie and for each success level on the Brains Score to raise the Zombie they can add +1 to the Zombie’s Physical Attributes. The Ovu Mobani can create and mentally control as many of these Super Zombies equal to their Intelligence Attribute.
