Maususer's Battle of Britain Mods
(BoBII:WOV Aircraft)

Above is a skin I'll be using as a basis for others I hope.  From the author of the color plate I referenced,  This skin represents Bf109E-4, 3./JG1, De Koy, Early 1941.  This Bf109 shows to good effect the early paint scheme of RLM71/02/65, with a hard demarcation line between the upper camouflage and lower. No mottling is present.

The above shows a mapping issue with the 109.  I therefore had to make the lower leading edge slat yellow so it would look ok (although not historic).  When the mapping issue is fixed, I can hopefully fix it.

You can't see the yellow slats from above, which is good.

I also have the same aircraft without the yellow tips here.

Another skin below, this time without the "yellow nose".  It's II/JG52 "Red 5".

And below is a "Redband" Bf109E-3, II./JG 53, Hptm. Freiherr Gunther von Maltzahn, Gruppenkommandeur, 1940.

And below is a skin of "white 7" of I./JG 27.

Above, a Bf 109E-4 skin based on 2. Staffel, I. Gruppe, JG52 Pilot: Oberleutnant Helmut Bennemann (Staffelkapitan) Caffiers, France, October 1940 Using RLM 71/02/65.

The above skin is a representation of the Bf109E-3, 6./JG51, Autumn 1940,Staffelkapitan Josef "Pips" Priller.

"Pips Priller had a rather long career in the Luftwaffe and became one of the top aces of the Second World War. This Bf109E is from early in his career and is marked from the time of his receiving the Ritterkreuz for twenty victories (seen in white on the tail). The plane is finished in RLM71/02/65 with dense mottling on the fuselage sides consisting of RLM70, 71, and 02. The mottling even covered part of the JG51 badge on the rear fuselage."

And another skin below.  This one of JG2 Helmut Wick.  I used the color plate on the left as a basis, but there is some question regarding the blue/red marking.

This skin represents Bf109E-3, I./JG3, Hptm. Gunther Lutzow, Gruppenkommandeur, Early 1940.

Below is a skin from 9/JG54 Grunherz.

The below skin represents Bf109E-4, Stab III/JG 54, flown by Oblt. Albrecht Drehs, which force landed at Hengrove near Margate, Kent on August 12, 1940.
