Vacation Accrual

So, since I accrue 2 days of vacation monthly, and I am maxed out on what I can retain, I need to take 2 days off this month! I have decided to have tomorrow off, as well as Tuesday for my actual Birthday! That makes it a 5-day weekend including my normal Monday Flex-Time!

Catch-Up

So, things have been crazy at work for the past few weeks/month, and since I generally Blog only from work, or read them from work, I feel completely out of date. So, I will attempt to update on my life now.

Today is better. After what feels like a marathon of the last few days, we are close to catching up. We still have 2 big items to do for the month, but my part comes after my staff are done with them, and they have just began. It should take until mid next week until they are done, so I am good for a few days, and then back to craziness.


The Job

So, most of you know I applied and interviewed for a job in November/December. It is in the Dental School. A much higher level, but one I can handle. I have yet to hear from the interviewer whether I am being considered for a second interview. He told me that I would hear by early January. Is it now safe to contact him and ask, or should I continue to wait? If I should contact him, how? He arranged our interview via email...


Conference?

So, work has offered to send me to a conference. It covers current issues in higher education. I think my boss is offering to send my co-worker and I because of all of the additional work we have gotten. Something like a reward. It is in St. Louis for 3 days in February...Debating.

Good News

I called my brother with a tax question the other day and left him a voicemail. He left me a voicemail back last night. Since Patrick and I are both on the deed and the mortgage, we can deduct the interest any way we see fit. I can claim all, or he can claim all, or we can split it in any percentage. This will make tax season easier. Yay!

*sigh*

Long week. Tired now. Wish I was home.
