Exercise
So, I had my seocnd exercise class last night. It went well. It is a step aerobics class. I thought I would hate it, but I don't. It seems to be good exercise, and very low impact. Kick-boxing is good too (Monday night), but it seems to have been harder on my joints. I don't know how much I will like it in the long run. I have friends in both classes, which helps immensely.

Europe
So, everyone probably knows by now that Patrick and I are winging off to Europe in October, on some free tickets, courtesy of a friend. He got his passport a few days ago. Mine has yet to come. I am sincerely hoping that I don't have to end up driving to Chicago to get a passport at the last minute. I will be very ticked.

Ouch!

Okay, so last night was my first exercise class in years. It was a kickboxing class. Ouch! The class was a lot of work, and I somewhat enjoyed it. (As much as any exercise where you get all sweaty, hot and tired, can be enjoyed.) But, today, I am SORE. Mostly my back. I am not used to throwing punches. I get to rest up tonight. Tomorrow, I start the aerobics course. Then, until Thanksgiving, I exercise every Monday and Wednesday. *sigh* Must go find Aspirin.

Known as the only one who can control Josh Lyman, she answers to his every bellow. She has a thing for Yo-Yo Ma, philately, and Josh... but won't act on it. Although hired on the Bartlet Campaign by pure luck, Donnatella has now proven herself to be a valuable asset.

It sure seems Oregon is right for me....

As far as who I am in Amber.... This one surprised me.

We have looked deep into the Jewel of Judgement, with some help from Ghostwheel, and determined that your amnesia hides the fact that you are actually Finndo.

Finndo, son of Cymnea. The Shadow creatures on the northern borders weren't as fatal to you as we were lead to believe. It's been a long time, sir. I'll try to arrange a room for you in the Castle.

We've been keeping your room in the Castle ready. If you decide to join the rest of the family at dinner, please let me know, so that I may set the appropriate number of places.

My AD&D Type...

I Am A: Lawful Good Elf Bard Mage

Alignment:
Lawful Good characters are the epitome of all that is just and good. They believe in order and governments that work for the benefit of all, and generally do not mind doing direct work to further their beliefs.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

Secondary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.

Deity:
Oghma is the Neutral Good god of knowledge and invention. He is also known as the Binder of What is Known, and is the Patron of Bards. His followers believe that knowledge reigns supreme, and is the basis for everything else that is done. They wear white shirts and pants, with a black and gold braided vest, and a small, box-like hat. All priests of Oghma are known as Loremasters. Oghma's symbol is a scroll.

Wow...from Kristen's Blog, I got a link to the BBC which had a quiz to review your ecological impact on the world. I had always thought I did rather well. I recycle a lot. I buy local foods when possible. I bought a car which has better gas mileage than I previously got.... I did rather poorly on the quiz. My 'footprint' was an 8.2. If everyone lived like me, it would require an additional 3.6 planets. I am doing better than my country as a whole, which was a 'footprint' of 9.7. Shelter caused my biggest footprint part for a 2.8. It alone takes up my equal share of the footprints available plus some. This was followed by food at 2.5, Goods/Services at 2.3 and finally mobility at .6. I don't travel much.
*sigh* I need to improve upon this.

Which Animaniacs Character are You?

You have megalomaniacal impulses regularly. That's not necessarily a bad thing, however, as you have the cranial capacity of a small planet. Trying to take over the world is hard work, though, and you're not above exploiting your lessers. Even now, you have a plan that's being enacted which will pitch the world's economy into turmoil, leaving the floodgates of trade exposed for the sole owner of stock in the Pets.com © company! You are en route to taking over the world!

Oh, and you ARE pondering what I'm pondering.

We're back.....

Labor Day Weekend was fun! We, along with a few friends, spent Labor Day Weekend in our family cabin in the allegheny mountains in PA. This is an annual event for us, though the guests tend to change each year, if only slightly. Assuming everyone was honest, a good time was had by all, with the exception of some wasp stings and a twisted ankle running away from wasps! You can ask our guests about that, if you know who they were..... But, a warning, walking willy-nilly through the woods seems to be hazardous! Patrick and I will put photos online as time permits.

Diet
So, it seemed to be working for a short while. My pants got looser. Now there seems to be no change. Of course, I kind of fell-off the diet while vacationing, but am officially back on now. So, in order to give it a helping hand, I am going to do something I hate, and which I said I wasn't going to do....Exercise... *shudder*

I hate exercise...maybe its the gay-boy in me, but getting hot and sweaty seems like it should be reserved for fun things.... (read sex there)... not for loosing last christmas' cookies which one is still hauling around. I hate being hot and sweaty....almost as much as I hate being dirty. BUT, I am making a proactive attempt at this. I went to the Washtenaw County Rec. Center and got information on classes available for loosing weight and improving cardiovascular health. So, now I am looking for a "sweating buddy". Any takers? Call me for more information, but am right now leaning toward 2 classes. One on Monday mornings...most people won't be available for that one. And one on Wednesday evenings. That is the one I am looking for a partner for. Classes are $29 each if I read the brochure right, and last for 11 weeks.

Dinner

So, Patrick is going to get a treat tonight. I am making him dinner. Scallops in a white wine-cream reduction sauce and potato-leek pancakes. Wish me luck. My first time trying the scallops.
