Julie Boland's Psycholinguistics Laboratory is located in the Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. We have advanced facilities and equipment for investigations of both written and spoken language. Much of the current research uses state-of-the-art technology to measure eye movements and collect reaction times as research participants read, listen, or speak. We study how people use knowledge about individual words and grammatical knowledge of a language to develop a partial interpretation of each word and phrase.

Current members of the Psycholinguistics Lab include:

Dr. Julie Boland, Lillian Chen, Damon Tutunjian, Yufen Hsieh, Kate Rice, and Cortney Sera.

We offer opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students to take part in this exciting research. Please e-mail Dr. Boland or click on one of the below links for more information.
