Doris O'Connor
Doris is Jinny's roommate. The two are very good friends. Doris is a lot more down to earth than the flighty Jinny. She is very intelligent and practical. She is not portrayed as beautiful like Jinny. She is a confidant to all the kids in New York and she even convinces Yuu to return to Japan for the summer break. Yuu in turn advises her not to give up on the one she loves (he has figured it out). Doris is a joy to watch.
