Ishani Maitra

I'm an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My main philosophical interests are in philosophy of language (assertion, context-dependence), feminist philosophy (silencing, subordination), and philosophy of law (free speech). Before coming to Michigan, I taught at Rutgers and at Syracuse University.

Elsewhere on this site you can find:
Papers – Selected papers on silencing, free speech, testimony, and assertion.
Teaching – Selected syllabi from courses taught at Michigan, Rutgers, and Syracuse.
