Tile install, day two - time to put in the tile grout, over-the-refrigerator organizer and breakfast bar supports. Installing the grout worked a little differently than I'd assumed - for some reason, I'd always pictured it being squeezed into the crevices between the tiles. Hah! If it worked that way, the labor cost would be tremendous. No, instead the grout is basically smeared over the whole wall, allowed to dry a bit, then wiped off of the tile surface. It looks fine when it's done, but pretty messy when it's in-progress. Looking at the finished product, I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

The grout smearing begins. Looks pretty bad, doesn't it?

An overall view of the mess. The short wall next to the refrigerator.

The short wall after the first pass at wiping the excess grout away. The finished wall by the stove.

The finished wall on the other side of the stove. The wall by the sink.

The short wall by the refrigerator. And the overall view of the long wall.

The organizer, already full of stuff. The breakfast bar supports. Much prettier than the temporary wood ones.
