Orcus flavor in Horrors

Postby Crazy Art » Sun Apr 12, 2009 11:09 am

I was wondering if Orcus's death by the hands of that drow deity of the Undead is going to be incorporated in Horrors...

Also, the King of Ghouls is his servant in Horrors too?

Good questions: to answer the first-yes, although death hardly stopped Orcus permanently (otherwise, it'd be a good bit less interesting of a writeup). As to the second question: no, but this will be explained in more detail when his writeup comes out.

So the events described in "Dead Gods" are accepted in Horrors? He becoming Tenebrous and everything.

The details won't be released until the relevant chapter of Horrors comes out, but I will say that it's been very extensively considered.

One of the earlier teasers was preliminary stats for the King of Ghouls.
If anyone needs me, I will be up here on my throne, being awesome!

On the old boards i remember the DF version of the King of Ghouls to take inspiration from 1E, realworld mythology and iirc Lovecraft, and not from Wolfgang Baur's White Kingdom, True Ghouls and Doresain. Which i found rather sad, as Baur's work was very interesting. The DF King of Ghouls name was Mormo
