I have worked on research projects in coagulation device design, microfluidics, neural differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells, and cancer metastasis. For details, please see Research page. I invested most of my graduate tuition credits on learning biology, including molecular and cellular biology, human physiology, cellular engineering, and cancer biology. I also learnt a lot of other biology by reading.

This employment was in my gap year before Ph.D. study. My main project was to study the interface of aqueous two phase system (ATPS). I developed a platform to visualize the fluctuation in flow rate that syringe pumps supply. My colleague, Sibyl Mak, further developed a method to visualize music based on this platform, dubbed musical microfluidics. Details are on Research page.
