1777 John Weigle, son of Peter Weigel and Magdalena, was born on April 26. John was baptised on June 22 at the Christ Lutheran Church in York, York County, Pennsylvania, with sponsors uncle Sebastian Weigel and wife. [1]
1781-1790 John's father Peter Weigle was in the Continental Army making firearms and had moved to North Carolina by 1790. Peter died in North Carolina around 1799.
1800 John Wikle lived in Morgan, Rutherford County, North Carolina in a household with males: 2 (16 thru 25); and females: 1 (45 and over). [2]
1820 John Wickle lived in Haywood County, North Carolina in a household with males: 1 (26 thru 44); and females: 2 (16 thru 25). [3]
