1739 The birth of Barsilah Scott on 19th day, 4th month, 1739 was recorded in the Mt. Holly Monthly Meeting records of Births and Deaths. [1]

1747 The birth of Mary, the wife of Barsilah Scott, on 30th day, 9th month, 1747 was recorded in the Mt. Holly Monthly Meeting records of Births and Deaths. [2] [3] Mary Carr, daughter of Caleb and Sarah Carr, was born on September [sic, likely November, the 9th month] 30 in Little Egg, New Jersey. [4]

1765 Barzilla Scott and Elizabeth Wheeler, both of Burlington, were married on March 25. [5] [6]

1767 Barzillai Scott and others signed an inquiry concerning Lambart Barns, Inn keeper in the City of Burlington. [7]

1776 Barzillia Scott and Mary Garwood, both of Burlington, were married on May 7. [8] [9]

1781 Joseph Garwood, of Evesham, Burlington County, wrote his will on August 3, and named daughters Rachel Scott and Mary Scott. [10]

1782 Barzilla Scott was paid a legacy of £5 from the estate of Joseph Garwood. Dated October 11. [11]

1788 The will of Samuel Eyre of Burlington County mentioned land, adjacent to John Neale, bought from Barzilla Scott. [12]

1790 Barzilla Scott, with his children, made a request to come under Friends care, as recorded in the Minutes of the Mt. Holly Monthly Meeting. Dated 9th day, 12th month. [13]

1791 In month 1, The committee appointed to visit Barzillai Scott reported they had an opportunity with him, and were satisfied his request should be granted, with which the Meeting unites, he is therefore received into membership, with his children, to wit, Joseph, Mary, and Barzillai. [14] [15]

1791 Barzillai Scott and Mary Carr appeared at this meeting and declared their intentions of marriage with each other. Dated 4 of month 8. [16]

1791 Barzillai Scott of Northampton Twp, Burlington County, son of Thomas and Leah Scott, married Mary Carr, daughter of Caleb and Sarah Carr of Northampton Twp, Burlington County, on 14th day, 9th month. Witnessed by Alice Page (perhaps Barzillai's sister) and Thomas Page; Joseph Scott, Mary Scott, and Barzillai Scott Jr (perhaps Barzillai's children by an earlier wife); Abraham and Patience Scott (Barzillai's brother); and others. 1791 The Friends appointed to attend the marriage of Barzillai Scott reported they attended and that it was orderly conducted, and returned the certificate to be recorded. Dated 6 of month 10. [19] [20]

1791 Barzillai Scott witnessed the will of Patrick Gamble of Nottingham Twp, Burlington County. Dated November 15. [21]

1795 Son Barzillai Scott, a minor, was granted a certificate of removal from Mount Holly by the Evesham Meeting. Said minor was placed apprentice of Job Haines. Dated in the 5th month. [22]

1814 The will of Isaac Carr, of Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey, named his sister Mary, wife of Barzillai Scott. [23] "I give and beqeath unto my Sister Mary Scott Wife of Barzillai Scott the Sum of fifteen Dollars to be paid by my Executors hereafter named at my Decease And further I give and devise unto the said Mary Scott the House and lot where she now Dwells on Water Street to hold to her during her Natural life ... It is my will and I do hereby direct my Executors of the Decease of my said Wife or of my Sister Mary Scott that they sell and convey the said Houses herein before divised to them during their lives and the Money arising from such sale to be divided among my said three Daughters and two Sons in the proportions and in the manner and Way herein before mentioned for the distribution of my other property."

1822 Barzillai Scott died on 9 of month 4 at Mount Holly. [24]

1831 Mary, wife of Barzilla Scott, died on June 12, as reported in Mount Holly, Burlington County meeting records. [25] [26] [27]
