1860 Daniel Barnhouse (age 44) and Rachel Barnhouse (age 33, born South Carolina) lived in Lacon Twp, Marshall County, Illinois with 3 female children born in Ohio: Mary (age 15), Nancy Josephine [N.J.] (age 14), Martha Jenny [M.J.] (age 7), and Alice [A.B.](female, age 4, born Illinois). [9] [10]

1865 Daniel Barnhouse died before 1865. Rachel Pickett Barnhouse then married Elijah Bliss.

1865 Elijah Bliss (age 60-70) lived in Bell Plain, Marshall County, Illinois with 3 females (age 20-30). [11]

1870 Rachel Bliss (age 43, born in South Carolina) and Elijah Bliss (age 68) lived in Groveland Twp, Tazewell County, Illinois with Rachel's daughters Alice (age 14) and Olive (age 10) Barnhouse and Viola Bliss (age 3). Son-in-law John O'Neil and daughter Jennie lived with them. Elijah was a shoemaker. [12] [13] [14]

1883 Rachel K Bliss, widow of Elijah, lived in Kansas City, Missouri. [15]

1887 Lincoln L. Barnhouse and Mary J. Mclean were married on April 26, 1887 in Tazewell County, Illinois. Lincoln L. Barnhouse was a child of Daniel Barnhouse and Rachael Pickett. Lincoln L. Barnhouse,age 24, was born in Lacon Twp, Marshall County, Illinois. Mary J. Mclean was a child of Daniel B. Mclean and Lydia Williams. Mary J. Mclean, age 28, was born in Elm Grove Twp, Tazewell County, Illinois. [16]

1923 Josie Bower died at age 77 on November 11 in Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington. She was a daughter of Daniel Barnhouse and Rachel Pickett and her spouse was John Bower. [17] [18] [19] [20]

1880 Rachel Peirson (age 53, born in Georgia), wife, married, lived in Palestine Twp, Woodford County, Illinois, in a household with John Peirson (age 68) and step-daughters Belle Bliss (age 24) and Violia Bliss (age 13). Rachel Peirson's parents were both born in France (sic). [23] [24] [25]
