1761 Maria Sabina Weigel, daughter of Catharine and Sebastian Weigel, was born on August 16. She was baptized on August 16, 1761, at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in York County, Pennsylvania. [1] Ludwig and Sabina Huedig were sponsors. [2]

1807 The will of Sebastian Weigel was proved on September 18, in West Manchester Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. The will was dated December 31, 1804. Executors: Peter Weigel and John Haller. Children: Peter, Henry, Anna Mary, Sebina, Julianna, Elizabeth, Catharine, Susanna, Margaret (deceased), and Anna. [3]

Some researchers name John May, died May 11, 1847 in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio, as a spouse of Sabina Weigel.

There may be three or more different men named John May in the records below.

1760 John May, son of Francis Peter and Anna Maria May, was born on January 6. [4] He was baptized on January 20 at the First Reformed Church in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [5]

1793 John May of Dovertown was listed on the septennial census in Dover Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [7] There was another listing. [8]

1798 John May, cordwainer, was listed on the 1798 direct tax in Dover Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [9] [10] [11] [12] He was adjacent to Jacob Eisenhart. [13]

1800 John May was listed on the septennial census in 1800 in Dover Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [14]

1807 John May, carpenter, was listed on the septennial census in 1807 in Dover Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [15] John May was a shoemaker(?) in another listing. [16]

1813 Johannes John May Sr. died on January 25 and was buried at William Keathley Cemetery, Shelbiana, Pike County, Kentucky. Johannes John May Sr. was born on January 6, 1760. [17] [18]

1830 John May lived in Dover Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (under 5) and 1 (50 thru 59); and females: 1 (under 5), 1 (20 thru 29), and 1 (30 thru 39). [19]
