Jacob Yingling reportedly married Barbara Crouse, born 1754 in Maryland, in about 1775 in Carroll County, Maryland.

1782 The tax list of Piney Creek Hundred of Frederick County, Maryland named several Yingland owners of land: Frederick (Frankfort, 150 acres), Jacob, John, Widow ("James Fancy" tract, 200 acres). [1]

1790 Jacob Yengling lived in Frederick County, Maryland, in a household with 6 males under age 16, 1 males age 16 and over, and 4 females. Margaret, perhaps Jacob's mother, and Frederick, perhaps Jacob's brother, were also listed. [2]

1800 Jacob Yingling lived in Westminster, Frederick County, Maryland in a household with Males: 2 (age Under 10), 2 (age 10 thru 15), 1 (age 16 thru 25), and 1 (age 45 and over); Females: 1 (age Under 10), 1 (age 10 thru 15), and 1 (age 16 thru 25). [3]

1802 "With their own agreement", Jacob Jüngling and Susanna Schneidern, the first a widower, the bride a single person, were married on December 8 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taneytown, Carroll County, Maryland. [4]

1826 Jacob Yingling dated his will October 5 in Frederick County, Maryland. The will named daughter Lydia, sons Joseph, Jacob, Peter, Frederick and David, and daughters Barbara, Lydia, Luoisa wife of William Baker, Anna Maria wife of John Shorer, and grand son Absalom Yingling. The will was witnessed by Dan'l Stonesifer and Jacob and Christian Yingling. The will was affirmed by Jacob Yingling on December 27, 1830. [8]
