1837 or 1842 Barbara A. Wise, daughter of Emanuel Wise and Catherine Kline, was born on February 27 in Boiling Springs, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [1] Barbara's grave marker and several census record ages suggest 1837 as her birth year. She was listed on the 1840 census (Age 0-5). Death record documents report 1842.

On February 20, 1917, Barbara A. Young (nee Wise). Relatives and friends are invited to the services on Friday evening at 8 o'clock at the residence of her son-in-law, Harvey C. Knotts, 5731 Hazel avenue, Philadelphia. Interment at Zion Cemetery, Churchtown, this county.
The body will arrive over the C. V. R. R. on Saturday at 12:30 and the funeral part will meet at the depot.
