1684 Judah Allen and Ephraim Allen served on a jury in Shrewsbury Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [1]

1687 Daniel Allen, of Sandwich, Barnstable County, Plymouth, Massachussets, made a deed concerning land secured by father George Allen on behalf of younger brother George Allen. Daniel deeded the land to brother George. Daniel had purchased the 70 acres of land from brother Judah Allen of Shrewsbury. The land was adjacent to land of Catherine Brown and Jedediah Allen. [2]

To all people to whom these presents shall come Daniell Allen of Sandwitch in the County of Barnstable in the Collony of New Plimmouth in New England in America husbandman sendeth greeting. Know ye that I the said Daniell Allen for & in consideration of a valuable (consideration crossed out) parcell of lands to me by deed secured by my father George Allen of Sandwich aforesaid for and in the behalf of my youngest brother George Allen now under Covert Whereof & wherewith I acknowleid myself therewith to be fully sattisfied & contented and paid and by these presents have fully & absolutely given granted bargained sold enfeeoffed & confirmed: and by these presents do give grant bargain sell enfeeoff and confirm unto him my said brother George Allen: his heirs and assigns for ever: all that my severall parcells of upland and swampland and marsh and meadow that I have lying and being within the townshipp of Shrewsbury in the County of Monmouth in the province of East New Jersey and is all that which I ye said Daniel Allen bought of my brother Judah Allen of Shrewsbury aforesaid one of the parcells of upland containing seventy acres - in length running North & South seventy chains: and in breadth ten chains - bounded on the East by lands of Catherine Brown & John Champnes Alies Jedediah Allen & west by the lands of John Havens and south by lands unsurveyed & north by a highway: allowance given for swamps and is to remain for sixty acres for ever And one parcel of Upland, & Meadow togeathe containing four acres being upon a branch of Shrewsbury river - running east & west in breadth five chains along the said branch of Shrewsbury River and in lengh with the upland eight chains bounded southwest by the meadow of Judah Allin afforesaid and Northeast by my brother Ephraim Allen Alies John Wooley: southeast by a highway & northwest by the said branch or Creek allowance given for bad land & meadow is to remain for three acres forever And also all the rest of the salt marsh & meadow lying & being in Shrewsbury and is all that I bought of my said brother Judah Allen which is the third part of all ye meadow & salt marsh of him the said Judah Allen and lyeth yet in parnereshipp: with him not to devide: with all the profits priviledges & appurtenances thereunto belonging as large as I bought it of my said brother Judah Allen he the said George Allen yeilding & paying yearely one halfpenny per acre sterling money of England for every the said acres according to the terms I bought it on and according to the tearmes of the patten that my said brother Judah Allen held it by: And also another parcell of upland & meadow containing fifty acres lying at a place called Mannsquan Yielding & paying yearly and every yeare three pence for the said fifthy acres all which said severall parcells of upland and meadow bounded and described as afforesaid with all ye proffitts - privileges and appurtenances belonging to the said bargained premises or any wayes appertaining thereunto or to any part thereof. To have & to hold unto him the said George Allen his heirs & assigns and to ye only proper use & behoof of him the said George Allen my brother his heirs and assigns forever in free and common socage: And the said Daniel Allen do for me my heirs & executors & administrators: covenant and grant to & with him my said brother George Allen his heirs executors & assigns: that at the time and delivery of these presents I give full power justright and lawfull authority to give grant and confirm in manner & form afforesaid according to the true intent & meaning of these presents - and that all the said bargained premisses are be and at all times hereafter shall continew to be ffree and cleare of and from all former and other gifts grants bargains sales titles and incumbrances whatsoever had made committed or done by me the said Daniell Allen Myne heirs or assigns or any other person or persons claiming of from by or under me them or any of them or by mine or means consent or procurement in witness whereof I the said Daniel Allen have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of May Anno Domini one thousand six hundred eightie & seven.
