We are researching Elizabeth, wife of John Coate.
1668 "That Thomas Budd & George Taylor do again go & visit James Humphreys & Elizabeth Coate, his sister, ... and that Elizabeth, as she is in a capacity, come to the Friend's Monthly or Quarterly meeting & give forth a testimony against her being married by a priest". Dated on 25 of month 12. [1]
1669 Joane Humphrey, daughter of James and Joane Humphrey, was born, on 17 of month 8, listed among births of the Coate family. [2]
Other researchers have named Elizabeth as a daughter of John Humphries (1620 in Somerset - July 22, 1682, at Wardington, Oxfordshire) and Anne (1620-1708)
