There were perhaps two listings for Sarah in the 1880 census:

1880 Sarah A. Ivey (age 38, born in Georgia, widowed) lived in Precinct 2, Orange County, Florida, in a household with Samuel B. Ivey (13), Carrie Ivey (10), Myrtle Ivey (8), and George B. Ivey (5). Sarah A. Ivey's father was born in Georgia and her mother was born in South Carolina. [33]

1917 Sarah A. Ivey died on February 19 and was buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Sanford, Seminole County, Florida. [39] [40]

1918 Son Samuel B Ivey died on October 2 at Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida and was buried at Saint John's Cemetery, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. [41] [42]

Several researchers name John B Ivey (1844, Alabama - 1904, Orange, Florida) as the spouse of Sarah. Did John leave Sarah before 1880 and she self-reported as a widow after then? John B reportedly had other children over-lapping with the children of Sarah. We suspect that John B Ivey was a different person than the husband of Sarah.
