Abraham has been reported as a son of Mary English and Jacob Cochran/Cockerham (1755-1835), born in Anson, North Carolina and died in Chatham, Georgia, which would make him old to be a sibling of Nancy.

John Frank Cochran, a pioneer Gordon County citizen, was born in Dawson County, Sept. 30, 1855, the son of James Cochran and Elizabeth Matthews Cochran. He died in Gordon County, Feb. 26, 1919. His wife, Louisa Denney Cochran was born in Dawson County, Feb. 11, 1856 and died in Gordon County, Feb. 17, 1942. They are buried in Harmony Cemetery, east of Calhoun.
Their children were Belle Cochran Tucker, Florence Cochran, Garfield Cochran, Cora Cochran Baker, Ada Cochran Clark, Mattie Cochran Goss, Ettie Cochran Goss, Mae Cochran Crowe, Ollie Cochran Kilgore, and as infant daughter that died at birth.

Arthur Harvey Chester was born on April 19, 1883, in Lumpkin, Georgia, son of John C Chester and Adeline Cochran. [32]

An obituary for son Arthur Harvey Chester names two brothers: Frank of Tecumseh and Harley of Modesto, California and one sister Mrs Avie Yones of Choctaw.

FRANCES M. COCHRAN [Ardmore] - Services for Francis M. Cochran, 72, who was born in Georgia and had lived here for many Tears, were held Saturday afternoon [April 20], Rev. Ross Hughes, missionary of the Baptist church, officiated. Burial in Rose Hill cemetery. Cochran made his home here for a number of years with the late Hugh Cunningham, deputy sheriff, and his wife.
