1786 Thomas Cochran wrote his will in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, dated March 14. The will named wife Sarah and son Thomas. Lands of 150 acres, 65 acres adjoining, and 200 acres on Twelve Mile Creek were listed. Four youngest sons Eleazor, John, William, and Robert (under age 21) were named. A negro wench named Chloe was mentioned. Sons Thomas and James were named. James could inherit clothing "if he comes or sends for them within two years" after Thomas' decease. Daughter Jean, wife of Andrew Rea was named. Wife Sarah, son Eleazor and John McCorkel(?) were named executors. Witnessed by John Osburn, William Huston, and William Dorber. Son Ealez'r Cohren acknowledged receipt of 130 pounds from the will dated July 23, 1791. [1] [2] [3][4] [5] [6]

1805 Captain Andrew Rea was granted land on 12 Mile Creek, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. [7]

1806 Capt Andrew Rea was granted 250 acres on the waters of 12 mile creek on Wagon Road in Mecklenburg County. [8]

1810 Andrew Rea was listed in the census for Capt Bozzels, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina in a household with males: 2 (under 10), 2 (10 thru 15), 2 (16 thru 25), and 1 (26 thru 44); and females: 1 (under 10), 1 (10 thru 15), 1 (16 thru 25), and 1 (26 thru 44). 1816 Andrew Rea sold land on Twelve Mile Creek to John Stitt. [10]

1819 Andrew Rea of Mecklenburg sold land on Six Mile Creek to Andrew Dunn on March 4. [13]

1827 Andrew Rea of Mecklenburg sold land on Six Mile Creek to the exectors of the will of Geo Park on May 24. [14]

1830 A. Rea lived in Franklin County, Alabama in a household with males: 2 (20 thru 29) and 1 (60 thru 69); and females: 1 (15 thru 19) and 1 (60 thru 69). [15]

1840 Jean Cochran Rea was buried at Rea Cemetery, Franklin County, Alabama. Jean Cochran Rea was born about 1766. [16] [17]

1840 Andrew Rea Jr. was buried at Rea Cemetery, Franklin County, Alabama. Andrew Rea Jr. was born on August 20, 1767. [18] [19]

1800 Andrew Ray, perhaps the father of Andrew, lived in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina in a household with males: 2 (under 10), 2 (10 thru 15), and 1 (26 thru 44); and females: 1 (under 10), 1 (10 thru 15), and 1 (26 thru 44). [20]

1801 Andrew Rea, perhaps the father of Andrew, wrote his will in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina dated May 18. The will named wife Jane, sons John, Andrew, Thomas, and Neal and daughters Anne McGlughen, Elisabeth McSoriel and grand-daughter Jane McGlughen. The will was proved in May term 1801. [21]
