1862 James Jackson died on December 11 and was buried at Jacksons Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Landrum, Spartanburg County, South Carolina. James Jackson was born on June 10, 1800. [15]

1882 Jerry Jackson, administrator of the estate of Ephraim Jackson, recorded an account in Polk County on May 9. Widow Intha was named. [16]

1867 The will of Samuel Jackson named son James Madison Jackson, wife Martha, and grand-daughter Martha Ella Jackson. [17] Estate papers for Samuel Jackson recorded that he died in 1867 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina leaving an estate in Polk County, North Carolina. Martha Jackson was his wife and Martha Jackson was his grand-daughter, since married to Thomas Collins. His land, called the Mill tract of 425 acres, was adjacent to lands of Isabella Jackson and Sarah Wilson. Thomas G. Collins and wife Martha E Collins are the only claimants. [18]

1897 The will of William R. Jackson, of Polk County, North Carolina named son Butler, daughter Rhoda, daughter Louisa Hayous, son Logan. [19]
