As you may or may not know, the City of Jewell, Kansas has a museum. Due to the deep ties with the Jewell community and the desire to preserve the family artifacts, the executor plans have been to contribute the Schafer papers and pictures to the city museum. This would allow them to be available to any who might have interest from a genealogical purpose. If you would like a copy of the items they could be copied for a small cost, so you would have a set for your records. You may want to view the items before deciding what you would like.
