Research Notes:

Weirich was perhaps related to Michael and Johannes Bentz, who lived in the same area at about this time:

Several researchers show John Pence, born 1706, some with son Whyrig, but many other combinations of children and alternate death dates of 1778 or 1795, and father Martin Bentz, and wife Maria Salomonsen or Anna Maria Barbara Schlauch. Several of the birth years we show for Weirich's children are undocumented from other researchers. We seek documentation about how these families might fit together. We suspect that Weirich Pence and Johannes Bentz are being confused. [95] [96]

Anna M Bentz Pentz (1751-1789) spouse of Johann Martin Reisinger (25 Dec 1751-23 Jul 1814, Dover Twp) has been shown as a daughter of John Bentz (1706-?). This is not Anna Marie, spouse of George Rudy.

Christian Bentz (19 Feb 1749 - 1778) spouse of Anna Marie Kaffroth (1748-1821), son of Johannes Weirich Bentz (1705-1783). [109]

2004 A family memorial for daughter Susanna Trostel names the wife of Weirig Pence as Anna Maria Barbara Schlauck. We seek further evidence for this relationship. [110]

The relatives of Weirig Pence or Michael Pence may include a descendant Conrad Pence. They lived in Earltown, Lancaster County, near Brenizer and Mohler families. [111]
