1849 Henry C Morgan petitioned the court of Meriwether County, Georgia that William Morgan was incapable of managing his own affairs, due to age, so a guardian should be appointed. A committee was formed to consider the issue. Dated September 4. [2]
1851 Henry C Morgan, administrator, presented an inventory of the estate of William Morgan to the court of Meriwether County, Georgia, dated November 1. Sales were made to WGH Morgan, Stokley Morgan, Hiram Morgan, and JH Walthall, among others. [3]

Nathan Morgan has been reported by other researchers as a son. Nathan was not named in the will of William and he was not born in Georgia, so Nathan is a poor fit to this family. We seek evidence clarifying his relationship, if any, to this family. Some of his descendants have DNA matches with Robert Wolfe.
