1752 Jacob Biegle received a warrant for 100 acres in Leacock Twp, Lancaster County. [1] [2] A survey of the tract showed it northwest of lands of Conrad Rutter. [3] Henry Ritter received a patent for the land dated December 3, 1768. [4] George Bashair received a warrant for land adjacent to Christian Eweng and Jacob Biegle.

Whereas Jacob Biegle of the County of Lancaster hath requested that we grant him to take up one hundred acres of land adjoining George Bashair and Conrad Ritter in Leacock Township in the said county of Lancaster … this nineteenth day of June … 1752.

1757 Jacob Bighler was on the tax list for Leacock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [5]

1757 Jacob Bichler dated his will on February 14. The will was proved on October 25, 1757. [6] [7] [8]

… the Sum of One Pound to the Elder of the Dutch Reformed Church for the time being after my Discease (which now stands in Andre Seldomridge his plantation) for the Use and Behoof of the said church only

… to my Grand-daughter Rebecca Ritter a cow, to be given to her by my Grandson Hennery Ritter

… to my said Grandson Henery Ritter shall pay all and every the above legacies and bequeathments to the respective Legatees aforesaid at the times aforesaid and the money as hereby bequeathed shall all be Pennsylvania currency. Item I give and devise to my said Grandson Henery Ritter all my Real and Personal Estate under and liable to the restrictions limitations and incumbrances aforesaid to have and to hold the said Henery Ritter his Heirs and Assigns forever. And furthermore I hereby Nominate Ordain and appoint my said Grandson Henery Ritter and Nathanael Lightner both of said township to be my whole and sole executors of this my last will and testament … In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the Day and Year above written. 1763 A land warrant naming Conrad, Peter, and Joseph Rutter described land of Jacob Biegler. [9]

Whereas in pursuance of a Warrant under the seal of our land office dated the 19th day of June 1852 there was surveyed to Jacob Biegler on the sixteenth day of November following by William Brown assistant to Thomas Cookson esquire then deputy surveyor of Lancaster County a certain tract of land situate in Leacock Township in the said county containing one hundred and thirty seven acres and allowance, but the said Thomas Cookson dyed before any return was made thereof into your office and whereas the said Jacob Biegler settled and made considerable improvements on the said tract of land dyed possessed thereof having made his last will and testament dated the fourteenth of February 1751 and thereby gave and devised all his real and personal estate some pecuniary legacies acc(?)ed unto his grandson Henry Ritter son of Barbara the daughter of the said testator as in and by the said will duly proved and - remaining in the register generals office more fully appears - and whereas the said Henry Ritter hath ever since possessed the said tract and hath more humbly requested us to grant him our warrant for the acceptance of the said survey into your office and on return thereof our patent of confirmation of the same on his paying to our use the residue of the purchase money & interest and quit rent and we favouring his request: These are to require you to accept your office the said survey of the said tract of land - and make a return thereof into our secretary's office in order for confirmation thereof to the said Henry Ritter and for your so doing this shall be your warrant under mye hand and the seal of the land office by virtue of certain power from the said proprietaries at Philadelphia this second day of December Anno Domini 1763.
