1739 Hannes Bernhard Wolf (perhaps this Bernard, or his father) joined the Conestoga congegration of the German Baptist (Anabaptist) Church. [1]

1750 The tax list for Lancaster Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania named Lorentz Hooft [perhaps a brother-in-law named in the 1756 will of Bernard Wolf of Lancaster Borough]. [2]

1751 The tax list for Lancaster Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania named Barnet Woolf, freeman [unmarried], [3] and Lorance Hoofte. [4]

1754 barnett Wolf and Muckmungle [relationship unknown] were taxed as tenants of Michael Beirly [relationship unknown] in andams Town, Lancaster County. [5]

1756 The tax list for Lancaster Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania named Barnard Wolf. [6]

1756 Bernard Wolf, of the Borough of Lancaster, wrote his will, dated November 2, 1756. The will named Jeremiah Wolf and John George Wolf (1 shilling each), friend Friedrick Feldberger, brother in law Lorantz Hooft and George Michael Wolfes his childrens and George Kinder deceas'd his three daughters … and the children of Jacob Schirche deceased … Friend George Micheal Swob was named executor. The will was proved on November 6, 1756. [7] [8] [9] Since the will did not name a son Bernard, it is plausible that this is not the will of Bernard born 1674, but is the will of son Bernard, born 1701, naming the son's brothers and sisters in his will.

1756 George Michael Swope, executor of the last will and testament of Bernard Wolf, of Lancaster Borough, sold land to Lawrence Margadant. The lot was on Mulberry Street, Lancaster Borough. Bernhard Wolf had purchased the land on February 7, 1754 from Ernst Ammon. Deed dated December 16, 1756 and recorded April 10, 1780 when the land was resold. [10]

1757 The tax list for Lancaster Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania named Bernhard Woolf, perhaps a person to be contacted for preparing the final tax list. [11] The tax list for Lancaster Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania mentioned the land of Barnerd Woolf [12] and Barnard Woolf [13] [14]

1757 The tax list for Lancaster Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania named George Shwop. [15]

1758 The tax list for Lancaster Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania mentioned the land of Barned Woolf, ? Lanters Part. [16]

1758 The account of Bernard Wolf was considered by the Orphans Court of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Dated June 6, 1758. [17]

John Graff and John Swobe, executors of the testament and last will of George Michael Swobe deceased who was Executor etc., of Bernard Wolf, deceased, produced to this court the account of the executorship of the said George Michale Swobe on the estate of the said Bernard Wolf, deceased, whereby there appears a ballance of L-97"5"1' to be paid and distributed aggreeable to the directions of the will of the said Bernard Wolf deceased, And the said executor praying the Court to Order and direct the method of distribution of the said L-97"5"1' The same is ordered to be paid and distributed as follows to wit:-

To Jeremias Wolf and J. George Wolf L-0"1"0' each. L-0"2"0'

To Leonard the sum of 6"9"6"

To the 9 children of George Michael Wolf each the sum of L-6"9"6'. 58"9"10"

To George Kinzers two surviving children each the sum of L-6"9"6'. 12"19"1'

To Jacob Shirk's 3 children each the sum of L-6"9"6'. 19"8"7+'

Research Notes:

Who was Leonard, who was listed in the 1758 account with a full share of the inheritance? Which sisters were married to George Kinzer and Jacob Shirk? Which sister was married to Lorantz Hooft? Was George Kinder named in the will the same person as George Kinzer named in the distribution?
