1802 David Cockram and Sarah Coward were married on January 13 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. James Coward posted bond. Witnessed by Jas. Doyle. [1] [2] [3]

1805 Elizabeth Cochran, of Rutherford County, sold 50 acres of land to Benjamin Coward. The land was on both sides of Green River. "then to the south line the patent was granted to James Coward bearing date seventeen hundred & eighty seven as will appear of record from him to the said Elizabeth Cochran, situate lying & being as aforesaid". Witnessed by David Cochran and Abner Cochran. Dated February 25. [4]

1806 Thomas Justice, of Buncombe County, sold land to David Cockram, of Rutherford County on February 24, for 10 pounds. The 10 acre tract was in Rutherford County on the "little Table". Witnessed by Thomas Cockram and Jas Justice. [5] Thomas Cockram presented the deed to the court on January 6, 1817. [6]

1815 Obediah Cochran was born. His parents have been reported as either Henry Cochran and Nancy Richardson or David Cochran and Sarah Coward. The probate record of Obadiah was recorded in 1890 in Polk County, North Carolina. Obadiah's widow survived him. [7]

1816 Thomas Cockram sold a 40 acre tract of land in Rutherford County, south of Green River, called Riddles place, to John Hester, on September 23. Witnessed by David Cockerham and Rich'd Allen. Signed Tho's Cockerham. [8]

1820 David Cockrum sold land to Jane Graham, both of Rutherford County. The tract was on the Little Table. The tract was platted and granted to David Cockram on November 26, 1789. Deed dated January 15, 1820. Witnessed by James Case and James Graham. [9]

1830 David Cockerham lived in Rutherford County, North Carolina in a household with males: 1 (10 thru 14), 2 (15 thru 19), 2 (20 thru 29), and 1 (50 thru 59); and females: 1 (10 thru 14), 3 (20 thru 29), and 1 (50 thru 59). [10]

1831 David Cockerham and Nancy Allen were married on November 24, in Rutherford County, North Carolina. Sanders D. Allen was bondsman. [11]
