Mrs. Ellen Sherman to be buried today

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock this morning at Spring Hill chapel, with Rev. McDowell Richards officiating, for Mrs. Ellen Cochran Sherman, 82, pioneer resident of Roswell, who died Tuesday night at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. T. Lamar Dryman, in Morningside. Mrs. Sherman was the widow of John Dunwoody Sherman, one of the founders of the Laurel Woolen Mills, which was among the first to be constructed in the south after the War Between the States. Besides Mrs. Dryman, Mrs. Sherman is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Etta S. Ansted of Clarkesville, Ga., Mrs. G. Claude Ward and Mrs. W. C. Power. Grandsons of the deceased will serve as pall bearers at the funeral.
