1759 "An indenture of bargain and Sale between John Cockerham of the one Part and Minor Young Cockerham of the other Part with a Memorandum of Livery of Seisin thereon indorsed was acknowledged by the said John Cockerham and the same now ordered to be recorded." Lunenburg County Court order books, June 6. [1]

1759 John Cockrum sold land to Minor Young Cockrum on January 3. Both were of Lunenburg County, Virginia. The 150 acre tract was adjacent to lands of Philip Cockrum, Potter, and Wilson. "only to have as much ground as he can tend himself." The tract of 150 acres bounded the line of Philip Cockerham, [C/P]otters? line, the new road, the old road leading to Wilsons ford. The deed was dated January 3 and was witnessed by William Law, Philip Cockerham, John Chandler, and Thom Potter. [2]

1760 "An indenture of bargain and Sale between Minor Young Cockerham of the one Part and Thomas Turman of the other Part with a Memorandum of Livery of Seisin thereon indorsed were acknowledged by the said Cockerham and Marian his wife (she being first privately examined according to law) relinquished her right of dower in and to the Land & Premises conveyed by the said indenture, all which were ordered to be recorded." Lunenburg County Court order books, February. [3]

1760 Minor Young Cockrum sold land to Thomas Turman. The 150 acre tract was on the Meherrin and was part of a 400 acre tract that Philip Cockerham had received by patent and was the same land recently in the posession of John Cockerham Senior. The tract was bounded by Twittys line, Potters line, a swamp, and the old road. Dated February 5. Witnessed by Thomas Potter. [4]

1763 John Cockerham of Cumberland Parish, Lunenburg County, Virginia, gave a gift of three head of cattle to his cousins Penelopy and Candish, children of Minor Cockerham deceased, to be held by their mother Maryan Cockerham. Dated September 3. [5]
