Obituary for son, Jessie Richardson Wikle, indicates that the Wikle family moved from Haywood Co, NC to Gilmer Co, GA in December of 1836. Henry Wikle is listed in census of Haywood Co, NC in 1810, 1820, 1830. He & Anna are in 1840 census of Gilmer Co with 8 children. The 1850 census for Gilmer Co indicates that the two youngest children (William S. D. and Nancy) were born in Gilmer Co, GA. The other children were born in NC (presumably in Haywood Co). Census data also suggests there may have been an older daughter who has not yet been identified.

One daughter listed in 1850 census has not yet been linked to Henry & Anna:
- Louisa A. C. Wikle, b 1834. Louisiana Wikle & William F. Hopper married Nov 6, 1851, by B. B. Quillian, Gilmer Co, GA; Bk 1, Pg 149. Other records indicate that "Hopper" may have been an error in spelling of Hooper or Harper OR in interpreting old handwriting*. Burial site for Louisa A.C./Louisana not yet found.

*A similar error occurred in case of daughter, Charity Wikle. A transcribed version of Gilmer Co marriage records indicated that Charity Adaline Willis married Lewis A. Neal on Oct 9, 1845, Gilmer Co, GA; Bk 1, Pg 176.

1850 Anna Wikel (age 54, born in South Carolina) lived in Subdivision 33, Gilmer County, Georgia, in a household with Elizabeth Wikel (age 30), Henry K Wikel (age 20), Sarah E Wikel (age 17), John L Wikel (age 26), Easther Wikel (age 22), Louisa A C Wikel (age 16), William S I Wikel (age 13), and Nancy R Wikel (age 9).
