Notes for Samuel Ivins

1791 The account of the estate of Isaac Ivins [father of Aaron Ivins] named Aaron's children as Isaac, Samuel, Aaron, Ann (now wife of John Comfort), Mary (now wife of Stephen Comfort), and Barclay. [Photocopy, Estate account of Isaac Ivins naming children and grand-children.] [1]

1793 Aaron Ivins, son of Aaron and Ann Ivins, married Miriam Middleton at Upper Springfield, Monmouth County, New Jersey, on December 11. Witnessed by Samuel Ivins, and many others. [2]

1797 Samuel Ivins was disowned by the Falls Quaker Meeting for marrying out of unity. [3]

1801 Several heirs of Aaron Ivins finalized a transfer of land to John Britton. The heirs were Aaron Ivins, Isaac Ivins, Samuel Ivins, John Comfort and wife Anne, Stephen Comfort and wife Mary, and Barclay Ivins. Ann Ivins Jr, wife of Aaron Ivins and Lavina Ivins, wife of Samuel Ivins, signed a separate deed relinquishing their rights to the land. [4]

1809 Lavinia Ivins of Burlington County, New Jersey, and John Comfort of Bucks County, Pennsylvania were administrators for the estate of Samuel Ivins, who died intestate in Burlington County. They posted bond on May 5, 1813. [5]

1813 John Comfort, acting administrator of Samuel Ivins proclaimed the account of the estate at the May Orphans' Court and it was filed in August term, 1813. Expenses included trips to Philadelphia, Bordentown, Mount Holly, and Monmouth for deeds and estate business. Ezekiel Morris and Aaron Ivins made payments. [6] [7]
